Three children died after a fire broke out in a residential area in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City on Tuesday.

Three children died after a fire broke out in a residential area in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City on Tuesday.

The victims, aged 10, seven, and five years old, were siblings, according to Isa Avendaño-Umali’s report on Super Radyo dzBB.

Janine Miñoza, the children’s mother, said she was at the hospital arranging her mother’s medical examination when the fire broke out.

 


 

The Quezon City Fire District said the victims, two of whom are male, were found on the second floor of their house. 

They added that the cause of death could be suffocation, but a source said the bodies were charred. 

The children’s bodies were brought to the funeral home past 2 p.m.

The fire, which reached third alarm, also affected a three-storey house and affected 33 families.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.

Barangay personnel, meanwhile, said they will provide assistance to Miñoza’s family. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
