Manibela's transport strike enters third day
Transport group Samahang Manibela, Mananakay at Nagkaisang Terminal ng Transportasyon or Manibela resumed their transport strike in Philcoa, Quezon City on Wednesday.
According to James Agustin's report on Unang Balita, Manibela members are calling for the abolition of the Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT) as it raised concerns over the apprehension being made to jeepney drivers.
Manibela previously said that the fines for the apprehensions were too steep for public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators.
SAICT, meanwhile, said they are just doing their job.
The group said aside from Quezon City, transport strikes are also being held in Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite, according to Manibela —VAL, GMA Integrated News
