Undas 2025: Pets not allowed inside Manila North Cemetery
The Manila North Cemetery (MNC) reminded the public that pets are strictly not allowed during Undas.
In its official advisory, the MNC management listed pets such as dogs and cats among prohibited items and activities from October 29 to November 2, 2025, when thousands are expected to visit their departed loved ones.
MNC also reminded the public that firearms, all sharp objects such as knives and cutters, alcoholic drinks, loud sound systems, musical instruments, gambling, and flammable materials like alcohol and thinner are also not allowed.
The cemetery will be open from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from October 29 to November 2, with regular operations resuming on November 3 (Monday).
Cleaning, repainting, and repairs of tombs are allowed only until October 27 (Monday), while the last day of burial will be October 28 (Tuesday).
Vehicles, including motorcycles, e-bikes, bicycles, scooters, and tricycles, will also not be allowed to enter the cemetery during November 1 and November 2.
Meanwhile, the Manila South Cemetery announced similar restrictions and schedules but did not include pets among its list of banned items.
The South Cemetery will be open from October 31 to November 2, 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with its last day of cleaning set on October 26 (Sunday) and burials allowed only until October 28 (Tuesday).
City officials urged visitors to comply with the rules to ensure a peaceful and orderly observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
