DOTr announces road closures for Kamuning busway rehab

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has released the schedule of upcoming road closures in line with the construction of the Kamuning busway station.

In a statement on Thursday, DOTr said that the Kamuning footbridge construction is now fully underway.

As a result, the Northbound direction of the road will be closed from November 15 to 17 at 1 a.m. to 4 a.m., while the Southbound lane will close from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. on December 11 to 15.

“To give way to the lifting and mobilization of steel components, EDSA Busway buses will temporarily skip the affected direction of the Kamuning Busway Station during the scheduled full road closures,” read the statement.

“During these periods, EDSA busway buses will not stop at Kamuning Station and will be rerouted accordingly. Passengers may board or alight at the adjacent stations — Quezon Avenue or Nepa Q-Mart,” it added.

Earlier, DOTr announced that the famed “Mt. Kamuning” was granted a budget of over P89 million for rehabilitation.

The project is set to be finished by December 2025. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
