Iglesia Ni Cristo rallyists at Quirino Grandstand, Nov. 16, 2025

Hours before the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) rally is set to start on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, many rallyists were already seen at Quirino Grandstand at Rizal Park, Manila, the venue of the group's anti-corruption rally.

At 5:10 a.m., many vehicles, both private cars and buses, were parked in the vicinity of Quirino Grandstand such as along Padre Burgos Avenue and T.M. Kalaw Avenue, as seen in a video taken by Super Radyo dzBB reporter Carlo Mateo.

Tents were also seen in the area which would serve as resting area for rallyists.

People wearing white shirts were already walking toward Quirino Grandstand, many of them in groups or families, carrying food and mats.

Information booths and portalets were already in place at the rally venue.

Roxas Bulevard was closed to traffic from Katigbak Drive, where Manila Hotel is, to TM Kalaw Avenue.

Police were already deployed in the area since Saturday night.

The INC said their three-day rally from Nov. 16 to 18 is a call "for transparency, accountability, and justice."

"This is not about politics—it's about standing for what’s right. We join the voice of many Filipinos condemning corruption and urging a fair, lawful investigation of those involved. Peaceful. Lawful. For the good of our nation," the group said in a Facebook post.

In a statement, the INC said the “rally for transparency, accountability, justice, and peace” is set to highlight the public clamor for a proper and transparent probe into the anomalous flood control projects and other climate-tagged projects “where over a trillion pesos were estimated to have been lost due to corruption since 2023.”

INC spokesperson and Minister of the Gospel Bro. Edwil Zabala pointed out that the gathering is not intended to interfere in politics.

“This November 16-18 rally is not to interfere in politics but to express our sentiment and lend the voice of the INC to the calls of many of our countrymen condemning the enormous evil involving many government officials,” he said.

The INC rally's program will start at 4 p.m., organizers said. —KG, GMA Integrated News
