Maynilad announces water service interruptions on November 19-20
Maynilad customers in the cities of Makati, Manila, Parañaque and Pasay will experience water interruptions from Nov. 19 to 20 due to pipe realignment for a new Philippine National Railway (PNR) station.
In an advisory Tuesday, Maynilad said it will realign an existing 1,350 mm diameter pipe to give way to the construction of the New Paco Train Station.
To maximize the downtime and improve its service, Maynilad said it will also conduct the following parallel activities:
• Interconnection of 1,400 mm and 1,350 mm diameter pipes along Quirino Avenue near Philippine Columbian Association Building Interconnection of 1,400 mm and 1,350 mm diameter pipes along Quirino Avenue near the old Paco Station (across Plaza Dilao)
"These activities will help reduce water losses and enhance water supply availability and pressure in the affected areas," Maynilad said.
The affected areas are listed on Maynilad's social media post.
Affected customers were advised to store enough water before the scheduled activities.
To assist affected customers, Maynilad prepared mobile water tankers on standby, ready to deliver potable water as needed.
