Thousands join Trillion Peso March 2.0 in Metro Manila
Thousands of individuals gathered in various parts of Metro Manila on Sunday, November 30, for the second wave of the Trillion Peso March anti-corruption protest.
Data from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) showed that the crowd at the People Power Monument along EDSA reached around 5,000 as of 4 p.m. A total of 1,117 police officers were reportedly deployed in the area.
Around 500 protesters were reported at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila, where 29 police personnel were assigned.
The Manila Police District also estimated that about 3,000 protesters were gathered along Recto Avenue as of 2 p.m.
Protesters continued their march along Recto Avenue on Sunday afternoon after being blocked by a police barricade while attempting to proceed to Mendiola Street.
The groups dispersed after 2 p.m.
