MMDA website for traffic violations has new features, now accepts GCash

New features have been introduced to enhance the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority's (MMDA) May Huli Ka website, a digital platform consolidating an individual’s traffic violations and cases in one portal.

(You can now register and view your violations for your multiple registered vehicles through this account… If you have violations, there will be just one account that will receive the notification.)

To register, vehicle owners need to create an account through the Vehicle Portal and submit their vehicles’ information.

Aside from tracking cases and tickets, Artes said that the site also had features to contest or object to any issued violations.

“Pag nag-receive niyo yung huli, pwede niyo na pong i-contest or mag-raise ng objection for the violation… So what it is, masasabi niyo naman po for yourself kung tama o mali yung pagkakahuli dito,” he said.

(Once you receive your violation, you can contest or object to the violation… You can directly check the recording of the violation. So what it is, you can see for yourself if the apprehension was correct or not.)

Contest or objection procedures include a thorough review of the case with an officer, and possible video conferencing if needed, and final notices on the decisions.

MMDA also said that its new partnership with e-wallet service GCash will allow violators to pay for their tickets easily through the platform.

(You no longer need to leave the convenience of your home or office; you can now pay for the penalties through GCash… The convenience fee of P7 is cheaper than the [trip from] your home and back, and you no longer need to line up since you can now pay [from] your cellphones.)
