Over 3M passengers expected at PITX during Christmas rush
More than three million passengers are expected to pass through the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) during the Christmas travel rush this year, the terminal management said Sunday.
“Mahigit 3 million yung dadaan sa PITX ngayon Kapaskuhan beginning December 19 hanggang January 5, sa pag-uwi nila,” PITX Corporate Communications and Government Relations head Jason Salvador told Super Radyo dzBB.

Salvador said the long weekend after Christmas may help distribute the volume of travelers more evenly.
He added that the number of commuters has steadily increased since the COVID-19 pandemic and noted that the newly opened Asia World LRT station has made travel to PITX more convenient.
All trips at the terminal are currently available, although many passengers have already booked their tickets in advance.
Salvador said PITX is also keeping an eye on unauthorized increases in bus fares, in addition to monitoring the supply of buses and ensuring passenger safety and security.
“As early as now, nakikipag-ugnayan tayo sa stakeholders, sa ating government regulators upang siguraduhin na itong buong holiday season hindi magkakaaberya ang biyahe,” he said.
