Valenzuela task force organized to probe case of dog with tongue cut off
The Valenzuela City government has organized a task force with the police and the City Veterinary Office to investigate the animal cruelty case involving a dog that was found bleeding and with its tongue cut off.
In a CCTV footage, a dog can be heard howling as if in pain late Tuesday evening. A light that seem to come from a motorcycle or a vehicle can be seen in the video.
The family of Rodlee Rivera-Zulueta then found their pet dog bloodied with its tongue cut off. They found the dog's tongue not far from their house.
The dog was brought to a veterinary clinic and tested positive for some diseases. The dog's tongue, however, can no longer be reattached.
The witness said the dog, Kobe, was injured after being embroiled in a fight with other dogs.
