PITX passengers seen to peak from Dec. 19 to Jan. 9

More than 3 million passengers are expected to pass through the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) this Christmas season, with the number expected to peak from Dec. 19, 2025, to Jan. 5, 2026, the terminal's management said on Monday.

“Our goal is to ensure that every Juan gets home safely and comfortably this Christmas season,” Jason Salvador, PITX corporate affairs and government relations director, said in a statement.

“With the combined efforts of our government partners, transport operators, and private sector collaborators, we are fully prepared for the three million passengers expected to travel through PITX,” he added.

The PITX management said it has heightened security measures and expanded customer assistance desks in preparation for the holiday surge.

The transportation hub is also working closely with the Department of Transportation, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, Land Transportation Office, Philippine National Police, and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

Meanwhile, the Bureau of Immigration said it is finalizing operations at airport immigration counters to prevent long queues ahead of the Christmas exodus.
