QC to suspend zipper lane on Katipunan Ave., Quezon Ave. - EDSA tunnel, Commonwealth Ave. after Dec. 23, 2025

Motorists are advised that Tuesday, December 23, is the final day of the implementation of zipper lane schemes along three major roads in Quezon City, the local government said.

In an advisory issued Monday, the Quezon City government said the three affected roads are Katipunan Avenue, the Quezon Avenue–EDSA tunnel, and Commonwealth Avenue.

The zipper lane schemes in these three areas will be resumed in January 2026.

“Bukas, Dec. 23, 2025 ang huling araw ng pagpapatupad ng ZIPPER LANE sa Katipunan Avenue, Quezon Avenue-EDSA tunnel, at Commonwealth Avenue,” the city government said.

(Tomorrow, December 23, 2025, is the last day for the implementation of the zipper lane on Katipunan Avenue, Quezon Avenue-EDSA tunnel, and Commonwealth Avenue.)

“Muling itutuloy ang pagpapatupad ng zipper lane sa mga nasabing lugar sa January 2026,” it added.

(The implementation of the zipper lane in the said areas will resume in January 2026.)

Amid the suspension of the zipper lane in the three roads, traffic personnel will continue to be deployed in key areas to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles.
