LTO issues SCO vs. drivers, owners of vehicles in Marikina road rage incident
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a show cause order (SCO) against the drivers and the owners of the vehicles involved in a recent road rage incident at Marikina City Riverbanks.
According to a statement on Saturday, the drivers and owners of the vehicles were asked to appear before the LTO on January 7 and explain why they should not face any administrative charges for reckless driving or obstruction of traffic and have their licenses revoked.
The two vehicles were involved in a road rage incident on December 24, where video footage caught the passengers of a Ford Ranger pickup and a Toyota Vios engaging in a physical fight in the middle of the road.
LTO shared that upon checking, they were able to confirm that the Ford Ranger pickup had a lapsed registration, having last been registered on September 9, 2024.
Both vehicles have been placed under ALARM status, while the licenses of both drivers have been placed under preventive suspension for 90 days while the investigation is ongoin —VAL, GMA Integrated News
