Fire hits residential area in Quezon City on Sunday night
A fire broke out at a residential area in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City on Sunday evening.
According to Olan Bola’s report on Super Radyo dzBB, the fire hit houses on San Pascual Street in Barangay Commonwealth.
The blaze was initially placed under first alarm at 8:49 p.m.
According to a separate report by GMA Integrated News’ James Agustin, the fire is currently at fifth alarm as of 9:33 p.m. based on information from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – National Capital Region (NCR).
According to a follow-up report by Bola, firefighters declared the fire as under control as of 11:09 p.m. Sunday. The fire was eventually put out at 11:43 p.m.
More than 50 houses were burned down while 100 families were reportedly affected by the blaze, with a man undergoing medical treatment for second degree burns to the face. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/JMA, GMA Integrated News
