Two 'New Year babies' born in Manila

Two "New Year babies" or infants born at the stroke of midnight marking the new year were recorded at a hospital in Tayuman, Manila.

Sally Alburo, a 25-year-old mother from Cavite, gave birth to her second child, named Yuri, at Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital in Tayuman, Manila, at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Moments later, 21-year-old Jennilyn Dalen, a first-time mother, delivered a baby girl named Zamara just 10 seconds apart, marking the hospital’s first recorded births of 2026. — Danny Pata/BAP, GMA Integrated News
