Holiday travelers start returning to NCR, hometowns after Christmas-New Year break

Filipinos who spent the Christmas and New Year holidays with their loved ones in Metro Manila or in provinces have begun returning on Saturday, as work starts on Monday for most people.

At bus terminals on EDSA from Kamuning to Cubao, Quezon City, provincial buses continued arriving with passengers coming from provinces on Saturday morning, according to a report by Carlo Mateo on Dobol B TV.

Other passengers boarded buses headed for their home provinces.

Taxis and motorcycle taxis were seen waiting outside bus terminals early Saturday, ready to accommodate passengers.

The management of bus terminals said they are expecting the bulk of passengers tonight up to tomorrow, Sunday.

The Quezon City Police District said the situation at bus terminals has been peaceful and orderly overnight. —KG, GMA Integrated News
