Fire hits residential area in Malabon

A fire that broke out in a residential area in Malabon City was put out at 4:51 a.m. on Sunday after reaching the second alarm, authorities said.

According to a report by Olan Bola on Super Radyo dzBB, the blaze affected several houses in the densely populated area in Barangay Potrero, prompting firefighters to raise the alarm level as flames spread before dawn.

Fire suppression operations continued for several hours before the fire was fully extinguished.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or fatalities, while the cause of the fire and the extent of damage had yet to be determined by the Bureau of Fire Protection as of posting time.
