Manila Police announces road closures, rerouting for Traslacion 2026

The Manila Police District (MPD) announced the closure of several roads and rerouting in the City of Manila for the upcoming Feast of the Jesus Nazareno on Friday, January 9.

The road closure in the following areas will take effect beginning 9 p.m. of Thursday, January 8: 

• Bonifacio Drive orthbound and Southbound
• Katigbak Drive and South Drive (One Lane Accessible to Manila Hotel and H20 Hotel; (plastic barrier)
• Independence Road
• P. Burgos Eastbound and Westbound
• Finance Rd. Eastbound  and Westbound
• Ma. Orosa St. Northbound and Southbound
• Taft Ave. Northbound and Southbound
• Romualdez
• Ayala Blvd. Northbound and Southbound
• C. Palanca Northbound and Southbound
• P Casal Northbound and Southbound
• Legarda St. Northbound and Southbound
• Quezon Blvd , Northbound and Southbound
• Lerma Westbound
• McArthur Bridge Northbound and S Southbound; and
• Jones Bridge Northbound and Southbound

Meanwhile, the following is the rerouting for vehicles going southbound: 

• AIl vehicles travelling southbound of Mel Lopez Blvd. (R-10) going to Roxas BIvd. shall turn left to Capulong St., straight to Yuseco St. to Lacson Ave. to point of destination. (old truck route)
• All vehicles travelling southbound of A Mendoza St. going to Quezon Blvd., shall turn right to Fugoso St., to Rizal Ave., to point of destination.
• All vehicles travelling westbound lane of España Blvd. going to Quezon Blvd., shall turn SF to N. Reyes St., to CM. Recto Ave., to point of destination.
• All vehicles travelling southbound of Rizal Ave. intending to utilize McArthur Bridge going to south area, shall turn left to CM. Recto Ave., left to Legarda St., to point of destination.
• All vehicles travelling southbound of J. Abad Santos Ave./R. Regente going to Intramuros Area., shall turn right to San Fernando St., left to Madrid St., left to Mulle. Dela Industria to Binondo-Intramuros Bridge to A. Soriano Ave. to point of destination or take Juan Luna St,right to Muelle Dela Industria to Binondo-Intramuros Bridge.
• Light Vehicles coming from Bonifacio Drive shall take Anda Circle then turn left to Soriano Ave. to point of destination.

The following, on the other hand, is the rerouting for vehicles going northbound: 

• All vehicles coming from A. Mabini St. and Ma. Orosa St. intending utilize TM. Kalaw Ave., shall turn right to U.N. Ave., straight to P. Guanzon St. to Mabini Bridge O point of destination.
• All vehicles travelling northbound of Taft Ave. going to P. Burgos Ave., shall turn right to U.N. Ave., straight to P. Guanzon St. to Mabini Bridge to point of destination.
• All Trucks and Trailers travelling northbound of Osmeña Highway going to Mel Lopez Blvd. (Pier Area) shall turn right to Pres. Quirino Ave., to Mabini Bridge to point of destination.
• All Trucks and Trailers travelling northbound Roxas Blvd. going to Mel Lopez Blvd. (Pier Area) shall turn right to Pres. Quirino Ave., to Mabini Bridge tO point of destination. (old Truck Route)
• All light vehicles travelling northbound of Roxas Blvd. going to P. Burgos Ave. shall turn right to U.N. Ave. straight to P. Guanzon St, to Mabini Bridge to point of destination.
