16-year-old PWD dies in Valenzuela fire

A 16-year-old male person with disability (PWD) died after a fire hit a residential area in Barangay Poblacion, Valenzuela City on Monday morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection - National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) said.

In an update, the BFP-NCR said the fire was reported at 8:50 a.m. at a residential neighborhood in J. Santiago Street in Malanday. 

The blaze reached the first alarm at 9:01 a.m. prompting five firetrucks to respond. 

The fire was declared out at 9:30 a.m., according to authorities.

The BFP-NCR has yet to provide information on the circumstances surrounding the fatality, the financial cost of the damages and the cause of the fire as of the publication of this story. — Joviland Rita/RF, GMA Integrated News
