Woman allegedly raped by Manila cop, suspect's lawyer says they have 'mutual understanding'

A  patrolman of the Manila Police District (MPD) is facing a complaint for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in a motel.

In John Consulta's "24 Oras" report Friday,  the 27-year-old victim sought help from the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) after she was allegedly raped by the suspect. 

CCTV footage showed the suspect carrying an unconscious woman in a motel in Sampaloc , Manila at around 6 a.m. on December 4, 2025.

"Nung nagising ako nakadiin siya sa kamay ko. Parang nagkaroon ako ng pasa dito. Pinipilit kong lumaban pero hindi ako makalaban kasi nanghihinga ako ng oras na yun," the victim said.

According to the victim, she immediately left the motel after regaining consciousness.

"Nung mga oras na yun natakot ako. Iniisip ko kung maghi-hysterical ako at magwawala ako, pwedeng may gawin siyang masama sa akin. Pwede niyang iputok ang baril. Pero ang sinasabi nya sa akin 'wag ka muna umalis at magusap muna tayo," she added.

The victim passed out after she went to a bar in Tomas Morato with a friend. CCTV footage from the establishment showed authorities carrying her out of the bar while on a wheelchair and helping her get into the suspect's vehicle.

"Nung time na huling CR ko, may naiwan akong baso na may laman. Nung huling inumin ko yun medyo okay pa ako pero after ilang minutes, nag-iba na ang pakiramdam ko at totally nag-blackout na ako. Wala na akong maaala," she said.

"Kaibigan namin sya ilang taon na kaya tiwala ako.  Kababata namin sya; kumpare sya ng asawa ko. Anong ginawa mo sa akin? Binaboy mo ko. Ginahasa mo ako," she added.

A medico-legal affirmed the victim was raped.  However, the suspect's legal counsel denied the accusations, saying it was consensual.

"Hindi totoo ang mga alegasyon. Isusumite namin ang mga larawan. May mutual understanding silang dalawa," lawyer Jocelyn Gabriel said.

The PNP said it will not tolerate the incident and vowed a swift resolution of the suspect's administrative case.
