Ex-CIDG cop nabbed for 2024 killing of Bulacan board member, aide


Authorities have arrested a former member of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) for allegedly killing a Bulacan board member in 2024.

According to John Consulta’s exclusive report on 24 Oras on Wednesday, the 46-year-old suspect was apprehended in Tanza, Cavite.

He faces double murder charges.

The Bulacan Provincial Police Office (PPO) said the suspect is believed to be one of the hitmen who killed board member Ramilito Capistrano and his bodyguard in Malolos in October 2024.

More than 70 empty bullet casings were recovered at the crime scene.

Authorities also found that the suspect had been involved in other crimes as a gun-for-hire.

The suspect, currently detained in Tanza, Cavite, has yet to comment on the allegations.
