LTO suspends driver’s license of knife-holding rider in viral road rage

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended for 90 days the driver’s license of the motorcycle rider caught brandishing a knife in a recent road rage incident that went viral online.

(The use of any kind of bladed weapon on the road is not only a violation of the law but a direct threat to the lives and safety of everyone. Road rage has no place on our streets—everyone must drive with discipline and respect for others. We will handle this case swiftly because public safety is our priority.)

Apart from the rider, the show-cause order also covers the owner of the motorcycle. Both are summoned to face LTO’s Intelligence and Investigation Division in Quezon City on January 21 and submit their verified or sworn comment/explanation.
