2 dead in shooting incident in Novaliches, Quezon City

Two people were dead in a shooting incident in Novaliches, Quezon City Sunday evening.

In a report on Unang Balita Monday, GMA Integrated News' James Agustin said a 28-year-old motorcycle rider was declared dead on arrival in a hospital after he was shot by two people on board a motorcycle.

A 24-year-old 2nd year criminology student who was riding his bike when the incident happened was also dead after he was hit by a stray bullet on his left leg.

CCTV footage showed the police chasing the suspects along Quirino Highway in Novaliches around 11 p.m.

Investigators are still determining the motive in the shooting. They recovered 11 bullet shells on Villareal Street where the incident happened.

Police are currently conducting hot pursuit operation against the perpetrators. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
