Fire hits residential area in Valenzuela City

A fire broke out late Saturday night in a residential area in Barangay Gen. T. de Leon, Valenzuela City.

Amateur videos posted online of the blaze by YouScooper Pádillá Leeneth showed residents assisting fire crews before the fire was declared “under control” at around 12:19 a.m. on Sunday, the BFP said.

The fire, which started on the evening of Feb. 7, was raised to a second alarm as Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel and local volunteers responded to the scene, according to a dzBB Super Radyo report.

Details on the cause of the fire, the number of homes affected, or reports of injuries have yet to be released.

Authorities continue to assess the damage and investigate the origin of the blaze. —MCG, GMA Integrated News
