Another vintage bomb found at UP Diliman, morning classes suspended
Another vintage bomb was discovered Tuesday morning at the Institute of Chemistry Teaching Building in University of the Philippines Diliman.
According to the Philippine Collegian, the official student publication of UP Diliman, the unexploded ordnance was found inside the Institute of Chemistry Teaching Building.
It said morning classes were suspended following the discovery, while classes scheduled after 12 p.m. are expected to proceed. The road between the Institute of Chemistry Teaching Building and the Research Building was also closed off to ensure public safety.
No further details have been released as of writing.
GMA News Online is trying to get a statement from the university regarding the matter.
On February 3, a vintage bomb was excavated in front of the Institute of Chemistry Teaching Building, the Quezon City Police District (QCPAD) said.
The Philippine Collegian, the official student publication of UP Diliman, reported that the bomb could be from World War II. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
