Fire hits residential area in Mandaluyong

A fire broke out in a residential area in Mandaluyong City early Wednesday, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection - National Capital Region (BFP-NCR).

The BFP-NCR said the fire at a residential area in Barangay Addition Hills was reported at 4:26 a.m. and reached the second alarm at 4:56 a.m.

Eight firetrucks and an ambulance responded to the area, according to the BFP-NCR.

The fire was declared out at 6:40 a.m. 

Three people were hurt in the fire incident, including a 28-year-old man with second-degree burns on his upper body, a 51-year-old woman who suffered from a dog bite on her right hand, and a 24-year-old man with a right toe injury.

The BFP-NCR has yet to provide information on the possible cause of the fire as well as the number of affected properties and individuals. —Peewee Bacuno with reports from Joviland Rita/LDF, GMA Integrated News
