Chop-chop victim’s body found in Binondo, Manila —MPD

A dismembered body of a man was discovered inside a drum in Binondo, Manila on Sunday evening, the Manila Police District (MPD) said on Monday.

Based on a police report, two scavengers said a white L300 van stopped at Mel Lopez Bridge. Two men alighted from the vehicle and unloaded a blue drum wrapped in transparent plastic tape.

The scavengers said the two men instructed them to dispose of the drum in exchange for money and left the area heading northbound on Mel Lopez Boulevard.

Then, the two witnesses loaded the drum onto a cart and brought it to Delpan Sports Complex.

While the two were removing the contents of the drum around 7:30 p.m., they saw a plastic bag containing what appeared to be human body parts. They reported the incident to the police around 7:45 p.m.

The dismembered body was brought to a funeral home.

The incident is now under the investigation of MPD’s homicide section.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
