By SHERYLIN UNTALAN, GMA Integrated News
The outpatient departments (OPD) of three government hospitals in Metro Manila were temporarily closed on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in observance of the Chinese New Year.
In separate advisories, the Ospital ng Sampaloc, Taguig City General Hospital, and Taguig-Pateros District Hospital announced the suspension of their outpatient services for the day.
Hospital officials said regular OPD operations will resume on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
The Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, is widely observed across the country, particularly in communities with significant Filipino-Chinese populations. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
