Senior citizen killed in QC residential fire

A 62-year-old man died after a fire broke out in a residential area in Barangay Baesa, Quezon City, on Tuesday morning.

The victim was trapped on the third floor of the burning house, according to a report by Allan Gatus on Super Radyo dzBB.

He was rescued and rushed to a hospital for treatment, but later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities said the victim sustained first-degree burns and suffered from smoke inhalation.

The fire started at around 5 a.m., escalated to the second alarm, and was declared out at 6:02 a.m.
