Alleged hitman hiding behind fake names nabbed in Taguig hospital

Authorities arrested a detainee who was confined at a hospital in Taguig City after it was discovered that he was a primary hitman for a group linked to at least 20 killings and had been hiding behind different names.

According to John Consulta’s exclusive report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, a team from the Philippine National Police Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3) served four warrants of arrest against the suspect, who was handcuffed to a hospital bed.

The man is not only facing charges of robbery with homicide but also murder charges in Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur and frustrated murder in Dagupan City in Pangasinan.

Police said the suspect changed his name three times and was also involved in a series of killings in the Zamboanga Peninsula.

Among the cases the suspect is linked to included a bank robbery in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, in January 2016, where two people were killed.

PNP PRO3 also arrested ten wanted persons in the region, most of whom are facing rape charges. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
