Two friends hit by car in Antipolo City 

Two friends were killed after being hit by a car along Marcos Highway in Antipolo City. 

According to a report on “State of the Nation” on Wednesday, the two men were crossing the thoroughfare when the incident happened. They both stopped to avoid the oncoming car, but they were hit by another vehicle when they started walking again. 

The impact threw the victims several meters away. They were both dead on arrival at the hospital. 

The driver of the vehicle said he tried to hit the brakes. He is now in police custody.
