LTO probes 3 vehicles for illegal blinkers, sirens in BGC
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued show cause orders (SCOs) against the drivers and registered owners of three vehicles found using unauthorized blinkers and sirens in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig City.
In a statement on Saturday, the LTO said the vehicles—which were neither emergency nor government units—were seen recklessly driving with blinkers and sirens during an event in the area.
“Ito rin ay nagdudulot ng panganib sa ibang mga motorista at mga pedestrian sa isang busy na lugar tulad ng BGC,” the agency said.
The LTO said it immediately issued SCOs against the involved drivers and registered owners, directing them to explain why they should not face charges for reckless driving, improper use of signals when starting, stopping or turning, disregarding traffic signs, unauthorized use of blinkers, and allowing an improper person to operate a motor vehicle.
The agency also placed the three vehicles under alarm status, while the drivers’ licenses of those involved have been suspended for 90 days.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
