The victims recalled that the fire easily spread; hence, they were not able to save any household items. Meanwhile, some were at work when the incident happened.
“I just found out that our house was already burning. I was worried about my youngest sibling, who is in Grade 5,” said a teary Chrislene Bueza.
“We were shocked because the fire easily spread upstairs. So we immediately ran downstairs. It’s okay that we were not able to save any items as long as my child is safe,” said Camella.
About 120 families were affected by the fire incident. They will temporarily seek shelter in a nearby public school.
The Bureau of Fire Protection is still investigating the cause of the fire and the estimated cost of damage.
