Man caught stealing traffic light cable wires in QC

A man was arrested on Good Friday for stealing traffic light cable wires in Quezon City, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

The said cable wires were for the MMDA traffic light at the intersection of E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue and Gregorio Araneta Avenue, it added.

According to an initial report, a site roadwork engineer saw the suspect with the cable wires.

CCTV footage showed the man walking along the road dragging the cable wires behind him.

The MMDA Traffic Engineering Center then reported the incident to police.

The suspect is now in the custody of the Galas Police Station 11 for investigation and proper disposition. —KG, GMA News
