Authorities arrested a man in Manila City for allegedly spreading private videos from his friend's phone.

Agents from the National Bureau of Investigation-Cybercrime Division obtained a search warrant that allowed them to enter the suspect's home and seize the phone that held the private videos, John Consulta said in an exclusive report on "24 Oras" on Friday.

(During a drinking session, one of the victim's friends borrowed the phone. There were sensitive videos on it that were sent to the suspect's own cellphone.)

The suspect denied the allegations, saying his phone had been stolen.

(The suspect even claimed that his phone was missing, but what happened was that he accessed the video and spread it using his grandmother's phone, thus creating a digital footprint.)

The suspect has been charged with violating the Cybercrime Prevention Act and illegal access to data. —VBL, GMA News
