Cops track suspects in P1M jewelry thefts in Pasay, Davao
Up to P1 million worth of jewelry was stolen in two separate incidents, at a pawnshop in Pasay City and a shop in Davao City.
According to Katrina Son’s Monday report on “24 Oras,” employees discovered a large hole inside the pawnshop in Pasay City and later found that up to P1 million jewelry and P90,000 in cash were stolen.
The police said the theft may have happened last night, especially since the establishment was closed on Sunday.
Police said members of the “Termite Gang” may be behind the incident.
Investigation is ongoing.
In Davao City, a jewelry shop inside a mall was robbed by four suspects on Saturday at noon.
The suspects pulled out firearms and declared a holdup.
Authorities are tracking the suspects after the former recovered the latter’s fingerprints and motorcycles believed to have been used to flee the crime.
The police are also reviewing CCTV footage.
