Fire hits community in UP Campus, 16 families affected

Sixteen families were affected by a fire that hit a residential area along C.P. Garcia Avenue in Barangay U.P. Campus in Quezon City late Monday night.

According to GMA News’ James Agustin, the fire began shortly before midnight and reached the second alarm.

Firefighters successfully put out the blaze at around 12:46 a.m. Tuesday.

Ten houses and 16 families were affected by the fire.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is still investigating the cause of the blaze, which reportedly began on the second floor of a house that was without electricity at the time. — JMA, GMA News
