MRT-3 to offer free rides for solo parents on April 15-18, 2026

Single parents may enjoy free MRT-3 rides from April 15 to 18.

In an advisory issued Wednesday, MRT-3 said that registered solo parents may ride the train for free from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on April 15 to 18. 

The event was made in celebration of the Solo Parents Week, and in line with the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act.

According to MRT-3, eligible passengers only need to show their valid Solo Parent ID at any MRT-3 station to a ticket.

“Isang maliit na hakbang ng pasasalamat para sa inyong walang kapantay na sakripisyo at pagmamahal,” the advisory read.

The free rides will be offered and can be availed at all 13 stations of the MRT-3.

Eligible passengers will be able to ride and disembark at any station from Taft Avenue station in Pasay City to North Avenue Station in Quezon City. — Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/RSJ, GMA News
