DOST-NCR opens iHub in Muntinlupa

The Department of Science and Technology- NCR (DOST-NCR) had opened its first innovation hub at the Colegio de Muntinlupa (CDM) to support stakelholders at the Muntinlupa, Taguig, Pateros, Paran?aque, and Las Pin?as (MUNTAPARLAS) areas.

According to a statement on Friday, the iHub will serve as a collaborative, open-access workspace for science-based solutions to issues local to MUNTAPARLAS.

The new iHub will connect interested researchers to mentors, experts, and colleagues to refine their concept to workable solutions and marketable start-ups using available tools and resources.

“More than just a facility, the new iHub will serve as a bridge between science, technology, and community development by enabling local technopreneurs and innovators to come up with solutions and opportunities to circumstances that are unique to communities in the MUNTAPARLAS area,” read the statement.

The iHub also doubles as the Project SARAI CeNTRO Hub, which develops crop technologies and protocols to help farming communities in the country. — Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/BAP, GMA News
