Motorcycle rider dead after getting thrown off bridge in Pandacan

A motorcycle rider died after he lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown off the Beata Bridge in Pandacan, Manila early Sunday morning.

According to GMA News’ Jhomer APresto, the motorcycle rider was driving on the bridge at past 7 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle for still unknown reasons.

The motorcycle apparently hit the gutter. CCTV footage showed the rider landing on a brewery under the bridge.

The victim died instantly as a result of the fall.

A barangay official said the railings of the bridge could have saved the rider, but thieves stole the steel railings. The bridge has been without lights at night, posing a danger to motorists.

Authorities reminded motorists to take extra precautions when driving along the said bridge to avoid accidents. — JMA, GMA News
