Power outages hit parts of QC from April 21 to 23
Residents in parts of Quezon City will experience scheduled power interruptions from April 21 to 23 due to maintenance and line works by the Manila Electric Company (Meralco).
In an advisory, Meralco said a portion of Circuit Diliman 424VU in Batasan Hills will be affected on April 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Affected areas include portions of Pratt Street—from near Price Street to Gandhi, Glenn, and Rosa Streets—as well as parts of Atlas Street from Pratt to Grant Street, including nearby interior roads within Filinvest 2 Subdivision.
The power distributor said the interruption is necessary to facilitate line reconductoring works along Pratt, Gandhi, Atlas, and Grant Streets.
Meanwhile, a separate maintenance activity will affect parts of Barangays Holy Spirit and Pasong Tamo from 11:30 p.m. on April 22 until 5:30 a.m. on April 23.
Meralco said a portion of Circuit Diliman 434VU will be affected, particularly areas along AFP Road from Sampaguita Avenue, including streets within Veterans Village such as Air Force, Army, Artillery, Bausa, Cavalry, Commodore, Constabulary, General, Guerilla, Infantry, Leyte Gulf, Marine, Military Cut-off, Navy, NAWASA, Ranger, Tulip, USAFFE, and Veterans.
The scheduled outage will allow line reconstruction and reconductoring works, as well as the replacement of poles along AFP, Infantry, and Constabulary roads.
Meralco advised affected customers to plan accordingly and take necessary precautions during the scheduled interruptions.—MCG, GMA News
