A big part of the market was affected by the fire, including the stalls selling dry goods, meats, cellphones, and clothes. Also affected were stalls on the second floor of the building.
Meanwhile, one person was injured after a crowd mauled him, according to a report by Carlo Mateo on Dobol B TV.
The BFP is investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
One vendor, however, said the fire started among the food stalls or carinderia.
Meanwhile, the fire incident caused heavy traffic on Commonwealth Avenue going toward Elliptical Road, as only four lanes were left open to traffic on Saturday morning. —KG, GMA Integrated News
