Fire hits community on Mindanao Avenue, QC
A fire broke out in a residential community on Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City on Saturday morning.
The fire started at 5:50 a.m. then reached the second alarm at 5:53 a.m., according to a report by Carlo Mateo on Dobol B TV.
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel and volunteer firefighters battled the fire and placed it under control at 6:26 a.m.

The BFP declared fire out at 6:35 a.m.
According to the BFP, around 40 to 50 houses were damaged and 100 families were affected in the community beside the creek.

It added that the fire started at a two-story home made of light materials. The fire quickly spread as nearby houses were also made of light materials.
No one was hurt or was trapped in the fire.

The BFP continues its investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
Traffic on Mindanao Avenue southbound in front of the fire was heavy, but eventually became passable.
Affected residents will stay at a temporary evacuation center in the area.
The site of the fire on Saturday was the same location of a fire in November 2025. —KG, GMA News
