Free WiFi installed at Pasig River ferry stations
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) rolled out free 24/7 internet connectivity across Pasig River ferry stations on Thursday.
This was in coordination with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the Pasig City local government, the DICT said in a statement.
“Ngayon, mas konektado at productive na ang biyahe dahil maaari nang mag-scroll, mag-aral, mag-video calls, at kumonekta online nang hindi agad nauubos ang mobile data,” the DICT said.
(Now, traveling is more connected and productive because you can scroll, study, make video calls, and connect online without immediately running out of mobile data.)

A total of 12 stations and three ferry boats under the Pasig River Ferry Service are now equipped with free public Wi-Fi as part of the government’s Free Public Internet Access Program (FPIAP).
The following are the 12 Pasig River ferry stations:
Pinagbuhatan
Kalawaan
San Joaquin
Maybunga
Guadalupe
Hulo
Valenzuela
Lambingan
Sta. Ana
PUP
Quinta
Lawton
Escolta
The project aims to address connectivity disruptions experienced by passengers while traveling, which often affect communication with family, work, and school and access to online government services, the DICT said. —VBL, GMA News
