Mother, 4-year-old son beaten to death by 14-year-old

A mother and her four-year-old son were allegedly beaten to death by a 14-year-old boy in San Pablo, Laguna.

According to Maki Pulido’s exclusive report in “24 Oras” on Monday, the father immediately ran to the site where his missing son was found bloodied underneath a pile of bamboo.

He immediately called the attention of the authorities to save his bloodied son. But the toddler was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

The four-year-old boy's mother was also found dead in a dark portion of the subdivision.

The teenage suspect allegedly experienced abuse, but it remains unclear from whom.

"Maltreated ang initial appreciation doon, nama-maltreat na iyong 14-year-old ano?" said Police Regional Office 4-A regional director Police Brigadier General Hansel Marantan. “Sometimes, iyong mga salita kasi natin, sometimes it's a... piercing.”

The suspect has already surrendered to the police and has been turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). However, the incident and the exact motive behind the crime are still under investigation. –Vince Angelo Ferreras/NB, GMA News
