One dead in trailer trucks' accident on C5-Ortigas Flyover in Pasig
One person died in an accident involving two trailer trucks on C5-Ortigas Flyover southbound in Barangay Ugong, Pasig City on Saturday night.
The fatality was the helper of one truck driver.
The truck was transporting bottles of softdrinks when it bumped into another trailer truck which earlier broke down.
The truck driver said an Elf truck overtook his vehicle and he did not notice the other trailer truck, GMA News reporter Gabriel Gonzales said.
The front part of the trailer truck was totally damaged, pinning the helper down.

Bottles of softdrinks meanwhile fell on the road.
The incident occurred past 11 p.m. but the truck driver's helper was only extricated at past 2 a.m. Sunday, according to Super Radyo dzBB reporter Olan Bola.

The truck's front part was separated from the trailer at past 7 a.m. Sunday, according to Super Radyo dzBB reporter Carlo Mateo.
The driver of the truck was placed under the custody of the Pasig City Traffic Sector and may face charges of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and damage to property.

Meanwhile, the C5-Ortigas Flyover remained closed to motorists on Sunday morning as the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) continued its clearing operations.
