Mima Alicia's mother calls for immediate arrest of daughter's killer

The mother of slain pro-administration vlogger Alicia “Mima Alicia” Lipata has called for the quick arrest of the person behind her daughter’s murder.

“Ang gusto ko po ‘yung nag-utos na pumatay sa anak ko, gusto kong mahuli kaagad ’yon, maaksyunan kaagad, mahuli,” said Sandra Lipata, the late Lipata’s mother, in a “24 Oras” report on Friday.

(What I want is the person who ordered my daughter’s killing to be immediately arrested.)

“Kasi walang kalaban-laban yung anak ko, pinagbababaril sa ulo pa naman ‘yung tama pati sa dibdib. Hindi po siya naawa sa anak ko,” she added.

(My child was completely helpless when they were shot—right in the head and in the chest. They had no mercy on my child.)

2 suspects arrested

On Friday, authorities reported the arrest of two suspects in Mabalacat, Pampanga, who were allegedly involved in the killing of Lipata.

Arrested were the gunman, alias “M.S.,” 58, a resident of Caloocan City, and the driver, alias “J.A.,” 48, a resident of Cavite.

The authorities were able to recover from the suspects two grenades, a 9mm pistol, and a calibre 45 gun, which is believed to be the firearm used in Lipata’s killing.

The two suspects will face charges of murder and violation of Republic Act 9516 or the Illegal or Unlawful Possession of Firearms.
