One dead in Pasay City residential fire
A 39-year-old man died after fire hit a residential area in Barangay 138, Zone 15 in Pasay City on Sunday.
The fire started at the barangay hall at around 3 a.m. and quickly spread to the nearby houses, barangay chairperson Olivia Tolentino said, according to a report by Mao dela Cruz on Super Radyo dzBB.
Authorities are looking into faulty electrical wiring as the possible cause of the fire.
The fatality was identified as a sales assistant in a mall.
The Bureau of Fire Protection declared fire out before 5 a.m.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Personnel of the Philippine National Police-Scene of the Crime Operations (PNP-SOCO) meanwhile were on site to process the incident, according to a report by EJ Gomez of GMA News.
