UP bans recreational biking, jogging at Diliman campus during UPCAT 2027
The University of the Philippines (UP) has temporarily prohibited recreational biking and jogging inside the Diliman campus during this weekend's administration of the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT).
The entire Diliman campus will be closed to joggers and bikers on August 1 and 2, 2026, according to an advisory issued by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs.
"Only authorized vehicles and individuals with official business related to the UPCAT will be allowed entry. For examinees: Please scan the QR code to access the campus map and other examination-related information," the advisory said.
Thousands of aspiring UP students are expected to take the UPCAT at testing centers nationwide.
The UPCAT is the annual entrance examination for applicants seeking admission to undergraduate programs across the UP System for Academic Year 2027–2028. —VBL, GMA News
