Alice Guo served new arrest warrant over 3 anti-graft cases
Former Bambam, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has been served another warrant of arrest for three counts of violation of Republic Act No. 3019, or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
According to the warrant issued by the Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 67, the charges also included 11 other persons.
The court recommended bail at P90,000 for every count.
Guo is detained at the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City after a Pasig court found her guilty of qualified human trafficking and sentenced her to life imprisonment.
The Pasig RTC Branch 167 also sentenced Guo's co-accused Rachelle Malonzo Carreon, Jaimielyn Cruz, and Walter Wong Rong, Wang Weili, Wuli Dong, Nong Ding Chang, Lang Xu Po to life imprisonment.
They were also ordered to pay a fine of P2 million each per case on top of monetary reparations to the victim-complainants.
The court also ordered the forfeiture of the P6-billion Baofu compound in the favor of the government as well as the permanent revocation of the registration of Baofu Land Development Inc., Hongsheng Gaming Technology Inc., and Zun Yuan Technology Inc. –Jhomer Apresto/NB, GMA News
